Ever since I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance I avoid the usual chocolate bars or just have one of these miniature versions. But to have a real chocolate bar, if only from time to time, would be something great, I thought.
And here they are, the bars from Go Max Go Foods, I tested two of them, both lactose-free and even vegan.
Jokerz Candy Bar
This chocolate bar consists of roasted peanuts, caramel and nougat, coated with rice milk chocolate. I expected a substitute for Snickers, but this bar tastes more like a mixture of Snickers and Nuts – and is sooo delicious!! In this combination one can’t even taste the difference between the usual milk chocolate and the rice chocolate.
Ingredients: Corn Syrup, peanuts, beet sugar, cane juice, palm kernel oil, cocoa powder, palm oil, rice powder (rice syrup powder, rice starch, rice flour, carrageenan), soy protein concentrate, dextrose, natural flavour, malt powder (extract of barley malt and corn),, soybean lecithin, salt, carrageenan, enzyme modified soy protein.
Ick! That wasn’t my thing, because of the very soft caramel. But this is the vegan and because of that lactose free version of Mars, and that I never liked in my whole life. But who ever likes Mars bars will love this chocolate bar, because it tastes like the original one!!
A very subjective Rating:
Ingredients: Corn syrup, beet sugar, cane juice, palm kernel oil, palm oil, cocoa powder (natural and alkalized), rice powder (rice syrup powder, rice starch, rice flour, carrageenan), soy protein concentrate, dextrose, vegan natural flavors, soybean lecithin, salt, malt powder (extract of barley malt and corn), enzyme modified soy protein, carrageenan.
Allergen information for both bars: contains peanuts and soy. This product is manufactured in a facility that produces products containing dairy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, and other tree nuts.
